Wild v/s Mild ....woooooh title seems to related with some wicked sultry moments..Actually its is but not in that way ..(Winks )..
Ok so today i am going to tell you about two totally different novels which you surely gonna love. Two different sides of romance are shown in these novels. And both these books are my damn favorites. I will give you the short details about these two. The first Novel is Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte .
Wuthering Heights
The most passionate novel i have read till date. This is what i call a wildly romantic novel. This novel is written by Emily Bronte (English novelist).It was her first and last novel too and it was published in 1847.She died at the age of 30. Well this novel is a classic . Two movies are made on this novel.One is in 1939 and other is in 2011.But i strongly recommends to all the appreciative readers to read it once.
The story of the novel belongs to early 19th century and its setting is wild moors of yorkshire.
Main characters are Mr. Earnshaw ( The owner of a farmhouse wuthering heights) with his two kids Hindley and Catherine. There is one adopted kid Heathcliff (gypsy) And the later character Edgar linton ( Catherine's husband).There are two - three minor characters too. It is a unique novel of the clash of two human souls. Hindley feels jealous because heathcliff becomes friend with catherine and hindely plays alone.He treats heathcliff as a servant.When Earnshaw dies , hindely becomes the owner of Wuthering heights with his wife. His wife dies after giving birth to his son Hareton. Hindley introduces Edgar the owner of Thrushcross grange to his sister. He impressed Catherine and proposed her. From inside she also loves heathcliff but they cannot be together because of his social rank. Heathcliff leaves the house after her denial . Edgar and she got married and after three years heathcliff returns as a rich man.He woo's edgar's sister isabella. He won hindley's farmhouse in gambling . He starts treating hindley's son the way hindley used to treat him (as a servant).Catherine gives birth to a daughter and named her cathy . she dies after it. Isabell also leaves him and hindley also dies after six months.So Heathcliff becomes the master of wuthering heights. Edgar adopts her sister's son linton. Now eadgar's daughter cathy and linton becomes good friends.By hook or crook heathcliff wants his son linton and cathy to get married because by doing this linton will become the master of thrushcross. So they tie the wedding knot. His son linton somehow gets ill and dies.Now Heathcliff is the master of both houses. And he started to have the visions of catherine . One day he locked himself in her room and after four days he found dead. He was buried next to catherine's grave.
Ok this is the shortest summary i can write but one should read this novel to feel that exact passion and feelings. The encounter scene of Heathcliff and catherine when he came back as a rich guy was the epic one. Each chapter has its own uniqueness.
In her one and only novel Emily put her soul.She put the whole of herself in Heathcliff. She gave him her violent rage, passion, sexuality, hatred, sadism and love . It will immediately grip the mind of any good reader. After reading the whole novel you will realize that it is all about the co-existence of good and evil.Such as love and hate, truth and false, health and sickness, heaven and hell. I can still remember that thrill when the first time i read this novel and right now writing about this novel i am filled with the same thoughts and passion. I can feel the heathcliff's passion for catherine. And how his love turns into hatred for all after the death of his love. Psychologically he was torn between love and hate.So he takes the revenge.
I cannot accuse Heathcliff for doing anything wrong because HE IS MORE SINNED AGAINST THAN SINNING. I have read so many questions such as he is a devil or demon. For me he was the strongest character and the wise one. Rough as HEATH and hard as CLIFF.
The second novel is If it's not forever by Durjoy dutta and Nitika singh ( Indian writers).
If it's not FOREVER its not love
This novel is written by durjoy dutta along with nitika singh in 2012. Two parallel love stories goes in this novel actually a cute and mild one's. Its a delhi based guy story who survived from a 2011 delhi hight court bomb blast. Deb, avantika, shrey and tiya are main characters . After surviving from a bomb blast deb finds a diary of a guy on that spot.He reads that diary .It was all about one guy's love for a girl whom that guy loves secretly and see her daily . Deb thought that this guy is dead now because he tries to find that guy in every hospital of delhi after the bomb blasts but he fails. Then he decided to hunt that girl ragini which was mentioned in that diary and wants to give that diary to her because it belongs to her.This novels contains the two stories one is of deb and avantika and other is that dead guy and ragini.
Deb loves avantika to the core of his heart.There are so many cute little love moments in this novel. They were living together from last five years and sharing the joyful moments. After getting the diary deb tells about it to her too.So they all( their friends too) go on a hunt to find that girl ragini.
Second story goes with the flow as the pages of the diary get turned by deb.The last written words of a deadman gives deb a new perspective to a life.
